Founding
Member of United Fence Corporation of Massachusetts 1949 – 2025
It is with heavy
hearts that we announce the passing of John Jankowski, one of the
founding pillars of United Fence. More than just a builder of
fences, John was a builder of trust and enduring relationships. From
the first days of the company, he brought not only craftsmanship and
grit, but a vision rooted in integrity and care.
Before founding United Fence, John served honorably
in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. His time in
service shaped his sense of discipline, loyalty, and commitment to
others,
qualities that he carried into every aspect of his life and
work.
To those who worked beside John, he was a mentor, a
friend, and a steady hand in times of uncertainty. Crew members
looked up to him for his guidance, turning to him for advice,
encouragement, and leadership.
To customers, he was the face of reliability and the
reason they returned year after year. And to his family and his
friends, John was a force, always ready to lend a tool, share a story, or help a
neighbor in need.
Though John has passed, the legacy he leaves behind is
woven into every project
we’ve ever installed. We will carry forward his values, honor
his memory, and continue building with the same heart and dedication
that he exemplified.
Rest easy, John. Your work stands tall, and your spirit lives
on.
